For years, we’ve been pulling off impossible feats to keep the Caostica International Short Film and Music Video Festival, Tracking Bilbao, and Gizazinea alive. And when we say “pulling off impossible feats,” we’re talking about sleepless nights, budgets put together with a cheap calculator, and the superhuman ability to pull off events with next to nothing, duct tape, and faith in chaos.

But in NeoBilbao, the cost of living is rising: rents, printing costs, travel, hotels, and even the price of beer are reaching obscene levels… and the modest grants we apply for don’t always come through. For several years now, we’ve been falling just short of qualifying for certain grant programs. The requirements for these programs are becoming increasingly stringent, and we’re expected to ensure that the activities we organize generate their own revenue.

Por estos motivos, antes de acabar vendiendo nuestros defenestrados órganos en el mercado dosdemayo… hemos decidido, entre otras medidas, cobrar entrada en algunas de las actividades del Festival Caostica a partir de esta edición. Esperamos poder continuar contando con el apoyo y complicidad de nuestro bienamado público fiel para que los eventos que organizamos puedan seguir celebrándose impregnando las mentes neobilbaínas de cultura extraña, libre y divertida… Para premiar y fidelizar a nuestr@s devot@s secuaces nace…
