The documentary “Jon The Good Boy Míguez, directed by Juan Dopico and produced by Caostica, will premiere this coming Saturday, February 24, in the auditorium of IES Ataúlfo Argenta in Castro Urdiales (Menéndez Pelayo 4).

The documentary focuses on the transition from amateur to professional of Jon Míguez Talledo, a member of the Okinawa club and part of MGZ Promotions, who on July 15, 2017, became the first boxer from Castro to make his professional debut in Castro Urdiales.

Since his professional debut, he has won all of his fights (4-0) and is one of the most promising prospects in Spanish boxing.

The documentary features interviews with Jon Míguez himself, Unai Colina (owner of the Okinawa Gym and cutman), Gabriel Ortega “Gaby” (Jon Míguez’s trainer), Kerman Lejarraga (boxer, current Spanish welterweight champion), Txutxi Del Valle (Kerman Lejarraga’s trainer, MGZ Promotions), José Mari Marín (former boxer from Castro), and Dionisio Gómez “Yoni” (former boxer from Castro).

There will be two screenings. The first will take place at 7:00 p.m. and is by invitation only, for the documentary’s participants, officials, and accredited press. The second will take place at 9:00 p.m. and admission is free while seats last. Boxers Jon Míguez and Kerman Lejarraga, as well as director Juan Dopico, will be in attendance at the screenings.
