Un demonio ronda la casa de Adela, acosándola y haciéndole daño.

Esto la lleva a la consulta del psiquiatra, donde la medicación se presenta como el remedio absoluto a todos sus problemas. Pero ella necesita que alguien escuche lo que realmente le ocurre. El único lugar donde su realidad tiene cabida es en la religión y en los ritos populares, lo que la lleva a visitar a una curandera a la que le confiesa cómo y cuándo empezó todo.

A demon haunts Adela’s home, tormenting and harming her. 

This leads her to a psychiatrist’s office, where medication is presented as the absolute remedy to all her problems. Yet what she truly needs is for someone to listen to what is really happening to her. The only place where her reality finds room is in religion and folk rituals, which leads her to visit a healer to whom she confesses how and when it all began.
