Presentación del cómic “El Cineasta” (Astiberri) con la presencia de su autor Pep Domingo “Nadar”, moderada por Borja Crespo

La Novela gráfica “El Cineasta” (Astiberri, 2020), con dibujos de Nadar y guión de Julien Frey, describe la búsqueda de las películas perdidas del cineasta Édouard Luntz, una ardua labor de investigación que desvela los entresijos de la profesión cinematográfica.

Se antoja la excusa perfecta para reflexionar sobre dos medios, el cine y el cómic, conectados artísticamente.

“El Cineasta” komikiaren aurkezpena (Astiberri), Borja Crespo-k bideratua eta Pep Domingo “Nadar” egilearen parte-hartzearekin. 

“El Cineasta” izenburua duen nobela grafikoak (Astiberri, 2020), Nadar-en irudiak eta Julien Frey-ren gidoia biltzen dituenak, Édouard Luntz zinemagilearen film galduen bilaketa deskribatzen du. Ikerketa-lan neketsu horrek ageriak utzi ditu zinemagile lanbidearen zirrikituak.

Elkarren arteko lotura artistikoa duten baliabide biren -zinea eta komikia- gainean hausnartzeko aitzakia perfektua da.

Presentation of the comic book “El Cineasta” (Astiberri), with the presence of its author Pep Domingo “Nadar”  and Borja Crespo as moderator.

The graphic novel “El Cineasta” (Astiberri, 2020) with illustrations by Nadar and script by Julien Frey, describes the search for Édouard Luntz’s lost films, an epic labour of research that unveils the hidden details of cinema making.

It seems like the perfect excuse to think about these two media, films and comic books, both artistically related.

Entre ellos, se creará una afinidad que poco a poco llegará a parecerse a la que tiene cualquier madre con su hijo, si no fuera porque Tere le ve de otra manera.

“400 MPH” (Paul-Eugène Dannaud, Julia Chaix, Lorraine Desserre, Alice Lefort, Natacha Pianeti, Quentin Tireloque) 5 min. Francia.

En la Salina de Bonneville se puede escuchar a lo lejos el rugido de un motor. Al volante está Ícaro, un chimpancé empeñado en superar cualquier límite de velocidad.

Abordo de míticos vehículos cada cual más potente, Ícaro intentará alcanzar la velocidad de 400 Mph, pensada como imposible para cualquier automóvil terrestre.

Pero cuando Ícaro alcance el cielo, ¿triunfará o será consumido por su misión suicida?

Bonnevilleko gatzagan motor baten orroa entzun daiteke urrunean. Icaro da gidaria, abiadura-muga oro gainditzen tematuta dagoen txinpantzea.

On the Bonneville salt flats, the sound of roaring engines can be heard in the distance. At the wheel is Icarus, a chimpanzee hell-bent on transcending the limits of speed.

As Icarus reaches for the sky, will he prevail or be consumed by his self-destructive quest?

Una chica es testigo de la muerte de un desconocido mientras hace la compra en un supermercado.

Poco después, mientras cena en un restaurante de realidad virtual con un amigo, se da cuenta de que las personas que llevan el local son las mismas que estuvieron involucradas en la muerte del desconocido.

A young woman witnesses the death of an unknown man at a supermarket while she was shopping. 

Later while she is having dinner with a friend in a virtual reality restaurant she realizes that the people who run the restaurant are the same who where involved in the death of the unknown man.

Una noche más en el palacio. Un guardia de seguridad frente al tedio y un abismo por delante. No hay nada peor para un jugador empedernido, que creer que está en racha. 

Dejamos de ser humanos sin que lográramos convertirnos en máquinas y ahora somos simples pilas AAA.
