Nacida en Córdoba, Beatriz Sánchez es artista visual Licenciada en Bellas Artes en la Universitat Politècnica de València y tiene un Máster en Artes Digitales por la Universidad Pompeu Fabra.
Es dibujante, creadora audiovisual y agitadora en el terreno multimedia, actuando desde distintos frentes en relación al análisis del impacto que originan los modelos normativos, la sociedad de la información y los discursos oficiales de la práctica artística.
Sus trabajos han recibido varias menciones a través de Azkuna Zentroa, Bilbao Arte, Iniciarte, la Fundación Rafael Botí, VADfestival o Residencias Matadero, entre otros. Y están siendo presentados en numerosos festivales, canales, colectivas y ferias como Arco, Estampa, Cosmopoética, SÂLMON <, DVDanza de la Habana, Metrópolis RTVE, TV3 Televisió de Catalunya, Caixaforum Barcelona, IDN, La Casa Encendida, Centro José Guerrero, CentroCentro Cibeles, Injuve, I+CAS, Centro Huarte, etcétera.
En la actualidad reside en Bilbao, donde combina la producción de su trabajo artístico junto a la realización de videoclips y actuaciones de vídeo en directo. También se dedica a la pedagogía creativa, impartiendo regularmente talleres de videocreación en festivales culturales, universidades y centros de arte.

Born in Córdoba, Beatriz Sánchez is a visual artist with a degree in Fine Arts from the Universitat Politècnica de València and a Master’s in Digital Arts from Pompeu Fabra University.
She is a cartoonist, audiovisual creator, and multimedia activist, working on various fronts in the analysis of the impact of regulatory models, the information society, and official discourses on artistic practice.
Her work has received several mentions through Azkuna Zentroa, Bilbao Arte, Iniciarte, the Rafael Botí Foundation, VADfestival, and Matadero Residencies, among others. And they have been presented at numerous festivals, channels, collective exhibitions, and fairs such as Arco, Estampa, Cosmopoética, SÂLMON <, DVDanza de la Habana, Metrópolis RTVE, TV3 Televisió de Catalunya, Caixaforum Barcelona, IDN, La Casa Encendida, Centro José Guerrero, CentroCentro Cibeles, Injuve, I+CAS, Centro Huarte, etc.
She currently lives in Bilbao, where she combines the production of her artistic work with the music videos and live video performances. She is also dedicated to creative pedagogy, regularly teaching video creation workshops at cultural festivals, universities, and art centers.

Summer 2005.
